Home sweet home

This is the house we are currently renting. It has 3 bedrooms, and a huge living room which is double ceiling height. We are enjoying it, but we are missing our shipment which hasn't arrived from Scotland yet, but might arrive at the end of this week (keeping our fingers and toes crossed!).

O quarto principal e a unica divisao no segundo andar. Iupi!!!

And of course we have already bought a high-definition TV and a playstation 3 because Ed just couldn't live them!!! Here he is looking all happy!

Vao fazendo comentarios no blog, ok?

This is some of the fruit we can buy here - papaya, dragon fruit (the pink one!), small bananas, fresh coconuts and pomelo (like a great giant orange inside!).

This is Buddha mountain. The buddha is actually made from real gold! There has to be a guard there all the time to make sure no one steals it!!!

And this is one of the local buses!!! I said before you really have to see it to believe it! Anyone care to go for a ride on a Thai bus??? And the driving here is just crazy! It is like swimming in a sea of motorbikes.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Photos

Here are our first photos... We haven't taken photographs of everything yet, so I will post some things here and there!

Aqui estao as nossa primeiras fotografias!

This is in Bangkok. We stayed at a hotel which was just next to the river. The photo on the right is the view from our hotel in Bangkok. Great, isn't it??? And the photo on the left is the view from the 'mini-port' next to the hotel. We also had a cruise on the river and we visited a temple (wat) during the cruise. We had arrived in Thailand the day before and we felt slighty jetlagged but it was great! At this point we hadn't visited our school or been to the town where we now live (Ban Chang - meaning 'house of elephants').

Mmm... coconut water!!! You can buy a coconut at the supermarket for about 20 cents of a euro (more or less 15 pence)!!!

Uau!

These are some of the other new hires at the school (Owen, Kim and Martin). We went out for dinner in Ban Chang and ate lots of (very!!!!) spicy food!!! Yikes!

Ui!!!

This is us enjoying a Saturday on the beach. The water is warm and the weather has been fantastic so far, although sometimes quite scary when there is a tropical thunderstorm. You wouldn't believe the thunder!!!

More photos coming up soon! Keep well!!! ;-)

Mais fotos a caminho em breve!

It begins! Comecou!

Sawasdee Ka!!!

I can't believe we have arrived a month ago!!! Everything is going very well, but we have only managed to get internet at home yesterday and that is why this blog is only starting today! We will post photos soon (maybe tomorrow!) and lots of news about our new life in Thailand. You really have to see it to believe it!
Beijinhos everyone!
