Me and my Krathong, Ed and his cast!

There is a festival in Thailand every year called Loy Krathong. It is a festival to thank the water. Everyone makes a krathong (made from banana leaves, flowers, one candle and three incense sticks) and takes it to the sea to float on the water. A wish must be made before and if the krthong floats, the wish will come true!!! This is my first krathong!!! And it floated, by the way... :-P

And yes, I am dressed up with (borrowed) Thai clothes!!! (it is not everyday you will see me wearing purple!!!)

The children also make krathongs... with help from their parents (pfiu...) and they all dress up!

Eduardo also had a little incident playing basketball at school... a tiny fracture on his ankle. The doctor was very funny though.. he put a camouflage cast on him when he found out he was a P.E. teacher!!! All the kids now say 'it looks really cool, Mr. Cary!!!' Well, hopefully back to normality in about 2 weeks!

Agora todos os miudos dizem que 'it is very cool, Mr. Cary!' Bem, esperemos que volte tudo ah normalidade daqui a 2 semanitas!
